Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, a nationally recognized academic medical center in Lebanon, New Hampshire, includes Dartmouth Medical School, a 400-bed hospital, and physician practices throughout New Hampshire and Vermont.  We are committed to providing the best patient care, discovering new and better ways to treat disease through research, and educating the next generation of physician leaders.

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center provides a full range of specialty and subspecialty diagnoses and treatments, and offers the latest in medical technology and minimally invasive surgery. Our doctors and researchers work together to translate current research findings into improved patient care.  This collaboration enables us to offer our patients the most advanced medicine.

Our hallmark services include New Hampshire's only comprehensive Cancer Center, the state's only children's hospital (Children's Hospital at Dartmouth - CHaD), and our Cardiac Services program. Norris Cotton Cancer Center is one of only 39 Comprehensive Cancer Centers designated by the National Cancer Institute, and is ranked one of the nation's best by U.S. News and World Report. Here, more than 150 extraordinary specialists and scientists take on complex cancers and develop breakthroughs that change patients' lives and the course of medicine worldwide.

The award-winning Children's Hospital at Dartmouth offers nearly every kind of pediatric medical and surgical care, from anesthesiology to urology. Our 30-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Nursery and our 10-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit care for critically ill and injured infants and children from throughout the region. Children's Hospital specialists see patients at the main medical center campus in Lebanon and at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Manchester.

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center's cardiologists and surgeons offer the latest diagnostic, imaging and treatment techniques for cardiovascular diseases.  In 2002, the program launched its Angiogenesis Research Center where researchers are investigating less invasive alternatives to bypass surgery whereby the body's uses its own resources to grow blood vessels.
