Nestled atop Fairfield Street in St. Albans,
Vermont is a vibrant health care campus -- home to Northwestern Medical
Center.  NMC is a 70-bed, not-for-profit, fully accredited, primary care
community hospital.  More importantly, NMC is a team of 500+ area residents
striving to provide access to optimal health care in our community.  We are
pleased to be joined in this effort by more than 120 volunteers and NMC's
Active/Associate Medical Staff, which now features 67 physicians in 17
medical specialties.  Together, we offer a family feel with the full
benefits of a modern faciltiy and high-tech equipment.  While our history
dates back to 1883, thanks to recent major capital improvements NMC's
patients benefit from receiving their care in one of the youngest hospital
